The David Douglas School District through a generous East Portland Action Plan Civic Engagement Grant and partnership will hold culturally specific family engagement events with high culturally diverse populations.
Our goal is to provide time and space opportunities for our families to attend events which are intended to build and improve relationships with students, families and communities who have been historically underserved within our local area. Upcoming November workshops will focus on completing the 2017 District Family Survey, using ParentVUE and Parent Teacher Conferences. We are focused on connecting with our Somali, Chinese, Vietnamese, Karen, Nepali and Burmese families. Please see the below flyers for details:
